Product Manager, Liability and Liquidity Management Business (Team Head Level) recruitment
RESPONSIBILITY
- Maximize short and long term shareholder value by creating and implementing both a 3-year strategic plan and an annual operating plan that will enable the business to exceed all financial and non-financial goals
- Key leadership role in building scale in our Liability and Liquidity Management Business
Strategy
- Understand the dynamics of liability and liquidity management with a view to assess market trends, identify new business opportunities or competitive threats across the region
- Understand customers’ buying behaviors and needs to develop value propositions that will drive core bank status and increase revenues
- Capture competitor intelligence and regulatory information and use it to plan for opportunities
- Financial and Business Performance
- Develop and execute operating plan that meets the region’s financial goals and takes into account the end to end implications of business actions that includes sales, operations, risk and people
- This position will have a material impact on the country balance sheet management through the pricing, origination and management of liability portfolio
- Development of portfolio pricing strategies
Strategic and Operating Agenda
- Ensure that sufficient strategic and operating plan is articulated
- Lead the definition of the annual operating plan to deliver short-term financial results, manage the PL and provide business case for the creation of core capabilities which support Liability and Liquidity Management strategic intent
- Demonstrate business case for each product development on the basis of revenue opportunity, client benefits, payback period, cost savings, increased efficiency
Execute Product Agenda
- Coordinate with the regional TB Heads and OCC team to devise and implement plan for each new product launch to meet planned wallet share and target revenue
- Participate in the budgeting and planning of local marketing campaigns
- Achieve of annual financial performance
- Contribute to our capability to respond to complex regional deals
- Create an agenda that drives productivity, efficiency and performance
External Focus
- Enhance brand value and thought leadership via authoring articles, speaking engagements, media and roundtable events
- Establish a strategy that drives a customer-centric view into Transaction Banking with activities including but not limited to focus groups, customer surveys and VoC
Stakeholder Management
- Engage and influence to ensure alignment of key stakeholders, namely: Central Product Management, TB Head, TB Product Head, Operations, compliance and audit, OCC, CB, GM, and, relevant management committees
People Management
- Ability to motivate individuals and build team-oriented, aspiration goals
REQUIREMENTS
- University graduate with minimum 10-12 years' relevant and broad banking experience, in the wholesale banking segment
- Broad experience in working and engagement with cross functional and cross border teams.
- Sound knowledge in banking products, banking practices and regulations and knowledge of Transaction Banking in particular Liability and Liquidity Management
- Strong leadership, communication and people skills
- Strong analytical skill with strategic thinking
- Good project management and presentation skills
