We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join HSBC in the role of Product Manager, Payables and Receivables. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding the low-value payments and clearing strategy with additional focus on international payments and fx, and receivable product portfolio.
The incumbent will take accountability for servicing, development and enhancement of a range of PCM products to meet the cash management needs of corporate clients. The product portfolio includes Direct Entry (ACH), Direct Debits, BPAY payments and receipts, international payments, off-system BSBs, lockbox, cheque outsourcing and other similar solutions.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Overall responsibility for the profitability of the assigned product and service suite;
- Development and management of the product group to ensure products meet the requirements of the market;
- Develop and execute sales and marketing plans to increase product penetration, usage and revenue for assigned product suite;
- Set new processes or improve existing ones that are used to onboard customers and maintain products at the backend, and document such changes in process instruction manuals
- Manage margin and pricing decisions;
- Engage local and regional stakeholders to track and benchmark service quality and drive internal process improvement to ensure smooth product delivery;
- Implement group compliance policy as applicable to the Product Management;
- Key stakeholder and relationship management.
- Provide training and support to internal stakeholders
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Minimum 5 years experience in Payments and Cash Management (preferably in the area of Product Management) or in a relevant position;
- Local payment and clearing system knowledge (eg: BPAY, CS1, HVCS);
- Technical knowledge of core banking systems and similar banking infrastructure higly desireable ;
- Strong project management skills;
- Outstanding relationship building and management skills, with the ability to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders;
- Strong analytical skills.
