Exciting Product Management role for Investment Management Firm!

This is a great growth opportunity to work with a premier global asset management firm and be a key contributor to its growth plan.

Our client is located in Calgary and is looking to add a Product Manager to its team. The Product Manager is to provide overall strategic management and leadership of the firm's investment product lineup including new product development, strategic marketing planning and value propositions. The Product Manager will be required to define the long-term vision and direction for the products including ensuring the products are performing and being positioned at the highest levels of investment market standards. He/she will also be charged with the responsibility of helping others within the organization communicate the required message effectively.

In-lieu of the Portfolio Managers, the Product Manager will serve as the subject matter expert of the assigned investment strategies and products to sales, client service, consultant relations, marketing and other business partners and senior management throughout the organization. Additional responsibilities will include crafting content for RFP responses focused on difficult investment related questions on behalf of the investment team. Management of the organization's product roadmap as well as working collaboratively with senior leadership to determine product strategy and tactics and how to position the products to the investment marketplace will be integral aspects to the role of the Product Manager.

Qualifications:

The Product Manager is to have 5 or more years of investment industry experience in a related role (Sales, Marketing, or Finance), working for a mutual fund company, pension or banking institution. Extensive knowledge of product management practices including demonstrated expertise in successfully developing and introducing new products and customer value propositions is required to be successful in this role.

Our client is looking for an individual who is dynamic and confident in presentation and who ultimately will prove to be a great source for motivation and influence. There is a high preference for a candidate who is has completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC). Designation as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) will be looked at as a huge asset!

This role requires excellent leadership skills and the confidence to work with the senior management team.

Relocation is negotiable.
