Product Manager recruitment
The Product Manager will work closely with the Firm’s Management Team to initiate, organize and carry out product management, investor relations, sales and marketing activities on behalf of the Company and its various fund offerings. The Product Manager will be responsible for periodic reports, investor letters, presentations, marketing collateral and assessments of competing products, as well as sales ideas, communications with internal and external selling organizations and, to some degree, public relations for the Firm.
The Product Manager will need to gain a thorough understanding of the Firm’s existing and contemplated fund offerings, and will have to conduct on-going research into the marketplace (including competing funds and other products). The Product Manager will meet with the Firm’s Investment Committee and sales force to gather ideas, understand the performance and other attributes of the Firm’s products and assist in the launch of new funds, strategies and/or channels of distribution, including both retail and institutional. He or she must be able to communicate effectively with Firm employees, outside organizations (selling firms), and investors as well as the general investing public.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Investment industry experience, preferably with alternative investment products
- Excellent analytical capabilities
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational abilities
- Ability to effectively engage in conversation with colleagues, investment managers, references, and clients.
- Willingness to travel
- Ability to formulate and implement strategic promotional and/or PR initiatives
