CommInsure is a division within Wealth Management offering a range of life insurance, superannuation, retirement income, investment and general insurance products.
About the role
The Product Manager is required to deliver on product management tasks on CommInsure's Regulatory Reform program. This will have principal responsibility for Retail Advice products, but will also involve assistance with Wholesale, and Superannuation Investment (legacy) products.
You will be expected to perform the following tasks in a manner consistent with CBA's Value's of Excellence, Integrity, Collaboration, Accountability and Service:
- Business owner of changes required to the Retail Advice product portfolio under the obligations communicated by the Regulatory Reform project. Similar assistance may be required across Wholesale, and Superannuation Investments (legacy) products.
- Liaise with and source insights from other teams with CommInsure and Wealth Management to ensure changes are applied in a consistent manner.
- Effective and timely implementation of product compliance tasks. These include, but are not limited to:
- Production and delivery of accurate, approved legislative documents such as PDS and policy documents, mandatory customer statements, renewal notices etc.
- Product specification documents.
- Creation of product update material for internal and external audiences.
- Presentations of product changes to Distribution teams and other internal audiences.
- All product obligations documented (and all source documents stored electronically) and reflect actual practice and parameters included in the relevant policy systems.
To be successful in the role, you will have to:
- Provide clear demonstration of product technical proficiency in retail life insurance products (essential) wholesale insurance (desirable), and legacy products (desirable).
- Ensure systems and processing functions effectively support product obligations.
- Keep up to date with all regulatory changes that might impact the product portfolio
- Complete and present papers to leadership teams, Boards etc as required
- Research and maintain a competitor database for life insurance offerings.
You will also be a highly self-motivated individual with the ability to use your own initiative and work within tight timeframes. A proven track record of co-ordinatingprojects, or implementingchange, while being able to influence key stakeholders is also key.
