Product Manager-Risk Adjustment

This is a fulltime position and will be based in our Miami Lakes, Florida office, reporting to the Vice President of Product Project Management will have the following responsibilities: product planning and execution of the Medicare and Medicaid risk adjustment products throughout the product lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with operations, finance, sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager's job also includes ensuring that the product supports the company's overall strategy and goals.

The Product Manager works closely with all the associated business areas to ensure products successfully achieve their objectives on schedule. Product Manager will build products from existing ideas, and help to develop new ideas based on industry experience and contact with customers and prospects. The Product Manager must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. The candidate would be expected to manage multiple products/projects at the same time. The candidate will participate as needed in leadership or as part of a product team to develop business workflows, research and develop solutions, specify requirements, and manage relationships with business teams and IT. The product manager will also be responsible for managing the product life cycle and developing process designs and methodologies and ensuring continuous improvements. 

Responsibilities:

·         Define the Medicare and Medicaid Risk Adjustment product strategy and roadmap

·         Apply in-depth knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid Risk Adjustment payment methodology to create products that assist health plans with improving their care management gaps and payment accuracy

·         Build products that focus on the specific components of Risk Adjustment, e.g., use of ICD-9 diagnostic codes from a provider’s medical record, to implement products that deliver high value to health plans

·         Enhance our Encounter reporting products

·         Manage the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities

·         Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities

·         Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and samples

·         Be an expert with respect to the competition

·         Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product

·         Perform product demos to customers

·         Set pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals

·         Deliver a monthly revenue forecast

·         Develop sales tools and collateral

·         Propose an overall budget to ensure success

·         Brief and train the sales force at quarterly sales meetings

·         Act as a leader within the company

·         The position is expected to function with considerable independence while operating within a team and project structure. Leads and provides expert technical leadership to highly visible, sensitive and multi faceted projects. Sets strategic direction of projects.

·         Manage initiatives related to Product implementations and provide solid documentation of all key deliverables and due dates. Responsible for organizing assigned work, managing the work to completion, and managing relationships required to accomplish the work. Manage the day-to-day details of the product including the plan, schedule, resources, scope, budget and risks.

·         Report on product status of due dates met and deliverables pending the next due dates. Active problem solving in engagement of project managers in solution decision making are required. Monitors projects form initiation through delivery and monitors for continuous improvement. Completes cost/benefit analysis.

·         Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers.

·         Accountable for the development of product documentation for senior executives and other key clients to facilitate sharing of project outcomes and best practices. Makes formal presentations to various senior level audiences.

·         Adheres to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, accreditation and licenser requirements (if applicable), and Altegra Health policies and procedures.

·         Developing and implementing a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute.

·         Analyzing potential partner relationships for products.

 

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred.

·         5-7 years of progressive experience in either a health plan or related healthcare industry;

·         3-5 years of demonstrated success defining and launching products in the healthcare industry as a Product Manager

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·         Excellent teamwork skills

·         Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority

·         Must be able to travel 30% of the time to client and Altegra Health locations

·         Strong analytical background with report development experience, database knowledge, and ability to translate data into meaningful information into report or presentation formats.

·         Ability to assemble cross functional project teams and leading them through concept development and business case creation through execution.

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and Microsoft Project required.
