Product Manager/Business Analyst Manager recruitment
In this position you will work in close collaboration with clients, prospects and global Reval teams including: Business Development, Sales, other Product Managers and Engineering. In your management role, you will set goals, evaluate and mentor staff and ensure consistent implementation and use of tools, processes and procedures. The position reports to the SVP of Product Management.
Job Description
Product Management
- Support product initiatives by analyzing preliminary business requirements and defining project scope. Includes providing time and resource estimates, working with Engineering team, once preliminary business and technical requirements have been defined.
- Participate in release planning.
- Prepare statements of work, business requirements documents, review functional specifications, test plans. Update release notes and other key product delivery documents.
- Escalation point for production issues.
- Identify and assist in internal inter-departmental training for major product releases.
Organizational Management
- Participate in setting the direction for business and functional requirements methodologies and ensure that all analysts are trained and consistently follow the methodologies defined.
- Promote the quality of software releases by ensuring appropriate requirements, functional specification, testing methodologies are followed.
- Support continuous process and quality improvement practices through the application of root-cause-analysis and analysis of performance metrics.
- Stay current on industry best practices and recent developments in requirements and process modeling methodologies and tools in order to continue to evolve the organization's expertise to better support current and future needs.
Management of Staff
- Generate development plans and sets goals for staff within the context of the corporate and division goals. Evaluate performance of staff against these goals.
- Motivate, coach, counsel and develop staff.
Minimum personal requirements
- BA/BS, MBA preferred
- 7 yrs of relevant experience
- Background in and understanding of treasury management with focus on derivatives risk management and financial instruments accounting for interest rate or commodity products.
- Good functional understanding of databases, technology and software-as-a-service.
- Solid understanding of and ability to implement best practices in various structured development methodologies. Expertise in collecting and understanding business requirements, and translating these into requirements documents, use cases, functional specifications and test plans.
- Ideal candidate may be from a software vendor of capital market trading and accounting systems or from the banking industry and has experience in the development of in house position and risk management systems and is looking to channel that knowledge into a product development role with a leading software supplier.
- Strong management skills; Ability to review others work and mentor staff.
- Excellent communicator (written and verbal).
- Must be focused, tenacious in obtaining results and driven to succeed
