Due to continued growth my client has an immediate requirement for an experienced IT purchaser and product manager to assume the role of Product Manager with immediate effect. My client is a well established IT hardware distributor in the Cardiff area, and can offer an excellent opportunity to earn career progression and competitive earnings in a stable and challenging environment.

ROLE AND REQUIREMENTS
They are looking for an individual who has experience in purchasing / procurement in the I.T industry, with a strong technical product knowledge and full understanding of the IT sales channel. This person should be able to cope with the pressure of spending values up to the value of £1m per month. They should have a proven track record in negotiation and pricing models as this will prove to be a massive part of your role.

The business has continued to have growth in the UK I.T Distribution channel by ensuring they have the best products at the best prices. With pricing changing constantly the person must be organised and be able to act quickly based on market changes. This person will be able to deal with high profile companies and brands by showing a strong ability to have long term relationships with our suppliers through face to face meetings, emails and mainly via phone conversations.

As well as managing an existing range of products the individual will be responsible for bringing out of the box ideas to the Sales Director on new potential products and developments in technology and markets for us to grow our business.

REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate must have;
- A proven track record in purchasing/product management in the IT industry
- A strong product knowledge across hardware and components
- Experience of negotiating and saving on spend, negotiating deals and monthly spends up to £1m
- A motivated and driven attitude to work, and the desire to build a successful and rewarding career in the IT sales industry
- commutable to Cardiff

This role is suited to people who want to get out of the normal day to day running of things by taking on daily challenges to improve themselves and the company they work for. Everything they do has a direct impact on the day to day running of the business meaning they can and will make a difference.

The rewards of this role to the successful person are uncapped. The more profit you help the company generate the larger the bonus package becomes. This is an excellent role for the right person with a growing business.

PACKAGE
Basic Salary £20,000-£22,000 depending on experience.
OTE First 12 months 50%+ of basic salary in Bonus pay outs.
OTE Year 1-2 £45-50K Depending on how successful the candidate is.
Private Health Care provided after successful completion of probationary period. 3 months.
20 Days holiday.
Hours 9am-6pm.
