Function: Marketing Family: Marketing and Product Mgmt Segment : Pharmaceutical Segment Enterprise Business Unit: Pharmaceutical Distribution Business Unit : Marketing What Marketing and Product Mgmt contributes to Cardinal Health Marketing and Product Management is responsible for defining the market strategy, including product offering, pricing, positioning, distribution and promotion to drive growth and brand equity of for top tier Pharmaceutical Distribution Acute Care programs. What is expected of you for success in your role Demonstrates in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in product/market management Identifies market opportunities, develops, implements and manages solutions, and provides subject matter expertise in moderately complex, recurring, traditional situations Assesses financial implications, including profitability and viability, within a moderately complex, defined product/market Understands and manages lifecycle implications and makes recommendations to achieve sustainable economic success Manages aspects of the product lifecycle for moderately complex, defined products/markets What is expected of you and others at this level in Marketing for functional success Works to understand complex functional situations by paying attention to the details of the tasks at hand and by breaking them down into smaller pieces Collaborates with others and builds strategic alliances globally; negotiates to build broad-based support and/or persuades others in order to Demonstrates deep customer expertise; collaborates with appropriate parties to identify the drivers leading to business success. Encourages informed Risk-taking and acts as a catalyst for innovation at Cardinal Health; generates practical, sustainable and creative options to solve problems and create business opportunities, while maximizing existing resources. Evaluates alternative solutions/decisions in light of the potential impact on the internal/external customer and Cardinal Health; understands the resource implications of solutions and makes recommendations in adherence to governance and prioritization guidelines. Accountabilities in this role Support, collaborate and implement marketing strategy utilizing the segmentation framework Support, plan and implement sales and customer retention strategies through the development of marketing materials Support the sales organization utilizing marketing resources according to agree upon budgets Maintain administrative and relevant reporting, tracking and planning systems Respond to and follow up on sales inquiries seeking customer facing marketing material Develop and maintain structure and content for electronic delivery of information to the sales force and other internal constituents Support meeting and tradeshow planning and execution Promote company brands via PR activities, tradeshows and intellectual property management Plan and carry out direct marketing activities Collaborate with relevant components of the business and shared service functions to execute market strategies Effective communication and management of complex information Forecast, track and adjust financial and growth goals of programs Utilize sales and market data, pricing strategies, customer segmentation and competitive intelligence to identify opportunities and markets to support expansion of products that drive new revenue streams and build brand equity Develop, present and implement portfolio business plans for specific programs and channels including pricing, go-to-market strategies and product positioning Collaborate with Marketing Communications to develop marketing materials including advertising, sales support tools and tradeshow efforts Drive messaging strategy by collaborating with Sales to instill a passion for programs Qualifications Bachelor's degree in marketing or business related field 5+ years experience in managing business operations, business development, marketing or sales positions in the health care industry Use of all office equipment such as copiers, fax machines, etc. Use of Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook Interpersonal and analytical skills Good communications skills (phone, written, verbal) Project Management, Finance, and/or Hospital experience a plus Experience with service-oriented offerings is also beneficial Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Ability to work with moderate guidance and collaborate with others Ability to work within large, cross-functional teams Ability to work with ambiguous data and targets Requisition ID : 12002742 Primary Location : Ohio-Dublin-Cardinal Place Travel : No Schedule : Full-time Job Posting : Mar 19, 2012, 12:14:26 PM
