ZEN Entertainment, a leading developer of social and casual free-play casino-styled games, is seeking a passionate self-starter to represent the voice of our customer and help drive the marketing of our world class products in a customer-centric manner.
Working as part of a cross-functional team, the Product Marketing Director is responsible for understanding player and partner needs, and translating them into product feature and promotional program requests for the product, development and marketing teams.
Know the target customer: Understand who our players are, what they need and want, and what motivates them. Understand the differences in players who choose different brand-partners’ platforms. Keep finding ways to learn more about our players and how to improve our interactions with them including market research, usability testing, and demographic and behavioral analysis.
Work with the Marketing team to design a program to continually create a better user experience, and balance or integrate with our revenue generation goals to maximize the value of our branded partners’ players.
You will be responsible for helping to developing product strategy, pricing, competitive intelligence, positioning and messaging for ZEN’s free-play casino-styled games platform.
You will be a key contributor and an integral part of the team by providing the Product Development Group with market intelligence and thought leadership so that the products we develop meet the needs of our business to business prospects and clients, as well as market demand and expectations. In addition, the Business Development and Account Management groups will count on you to develop innovative and creative marketing strategies and tactics to optimize their sales and retention effectiveness.
Key Tasks Responsibilities
· Work closely with Product Development to document product features and functionality requests that meet the needs of the market and our overall product strategy
· Collaborate with cross-functional marketing teams to implement the product strategy and roadmap
· Work with Corporate Marketing to develop product positioning and messaging that clearly communicates our offerings in the market
· Develop and drive the cross-functional go-to-market project plan for new products
· Support the Business Development team ins creating effective sales and marketing materials
· Work closely with Account Management on strategies and tactics that work to retain and optimize the revenue from our current customers
· Develop thought-leadership materials designed to accelerate customer and industry awareness and adoption of ZEN – this includes blogs, newsletters, case studies, whitepapers, and industry POVs
· Evangelize our products, solutions and best practices to our customers and prospects via marketing events, webinars, and other external communications channels
· Lead competitive intelligence and analysis and disseminate relevant information to key ZEN stakeholders
· Work with finance to build models to help understand and measure product and customer profitability
· Craft a plan and build the Product Marketing team as product marketing needs accelerate
Skills Attributes
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent (MBA preferred)
· A deep understanding of poker – both online and offline
· Experience in product marketing or similar role in the gaming industry including at least 3 years of direct management experience with proven success in growing and leading a team
· Exceptional written, verbal skills and analytical skills with attention to detail
· Proven ability to participate in and influence cross-functional teams
· Ability to gain and synthesize customer and market feedback for actionable recommendations on positioning, pricing, messaging, and product development
· Experience analyzing product, customer, and market dynamics
· A deep understanding of Social Media. Specific experience in FaceBook integration and application development and management preferred
· Ability to interpret, analyze and act on customer data and analytics
