Job Description:
Siemens Industry, Inc. is searching for a Product Marketing Manager to support our Water Technologies Business Unit located in Sarasota, FL. This Product Marketing Manager position has product portfolio responsibility for Municipal Service Sales reporting to the Sales Director. This is a strategically oriented position focused on top and bottom line growth of complex customer agreements positioning capital, consumables, and service.
Develops strategic business plans to support market share growth expectations based on segment analysis of our vertical market geography. The position requires regular contact with, and working knowledge of, all aspects of the business related to MS product solutions portfolio. This includes regular communication with customers, sales, sales management, engineering, process engineering, project management, procurement, RD, finance, MARCOM and industry trade groups to understand market conditions and trends. Responsibilities include developing and driving product portfolio strategy including initiatives for:

• Product portfolio growth and promotion
• Competitive analysis
• Marketing communication
• Product development/improvement/positioning and development of promotional initiatives
• Risk assessment/management and bid responses
• Technology gap assessment
• Sourcing assistance and vendor interface
• Strategic plans to competitive initiatives

The Marketing manager is also responsible for developing and managing and developing the sales message and approach, technical sales presentations, and standard pricing used for selling the products and technical papers. Managing Association conference strategies and participation is an ongoing responsibility. Managing bid process and response and maximizing closure rate is a key initiative.

The position requires strong communication and organizational skills. The ability to work effectively with diverse groups across departments and teams to champion product portfolio initiatives is a key to success. The position also requires an ability to quickly grasp and understand technical and business issues, the ability to evaluate and prioritize activities, and decision making to drive successful outcomes.

Minimum Requirements:
•Minimum of 5-10 years experience working with products and technologies in the wastewater industry
•B.S. or M.S. in a related engineering field
•Background in disinfection and municipal process equipment
•Strong verbal communication, public speaking, and writing skills
•Ability to travel up to 25%
