We are currently looking for a Product Marketing Manager for Architectural Window Film for our Solar Gard business located in San Diego, CA. Saint-Gobain Solar Gard, LLC positively impacts lives with products that protect, save and renew. Solar Gard® automotive and architectural window films, photovoltaic and industrial films are manufactured in an ISO 14001:2004 and ISO 9001:2008 certified facility in San Diego, California. With environmental responsibility as a core mission, Solar Gard has obtained and published its Environmental Product Declaration proving that its architectural solar control window films are carbon negative and reduce global greenhouse gas emissions. Solar Gard products are sold in more than 90 countries under the Solar Gard, Panorama®, Quantum® and Solar Gard Armorcoat® brands and provide a living for thousands of entrepreneurs worldwide.

Qualifications:

The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for the architectural window film product line and segment globally and the contribution of the line to the overall goals of the company. The successful candidate will analyze current and future markets and trends to effectively manage market growth and to drive the overall marketing strategy for their product line. They will formulate and implement annual sales and marketing strategies, plans and initiatives, as well as pricing and promotional strategies. They will be responsible for identifying new product requirements and opportunities and clearly communicating these to RD as part of our formal product development process. They will also be responsible for overall business planning and forecasting. In collaboration with sales they will ensure achievement of budgeted sales and margins for their assigned product line.

The Product Marketing Manager (PMM) must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. The ability to gather and analyze target market data is the key to finding innovative solutions for the broader market.

The selected candidate must be proficient at working cross-functionally with RD, engineering, product management, and sales. The PMM must work seamlessly alongside marketing communications to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer. Serve as the internal and external evangelist for the specific product line and its markets and be able to balance the voice of the customer with the business goals and objectives.

This position requires a strategic thinker.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Define market segmentation strategy and geographic focus and penetration strategy.
• Identify market and product requirements per market segmentation and develop the business case and rationale to secure internal resources to develop the products, services, tools and initiatives to meet these requirements.
• Concentrate on product and marketing strategy by market segment and define the message to the channel by working with marketing communications and the sales forces.
• Developing and implementing a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute.
• Analyzing potential partner relationships for the product.

Minimum qualifications include:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Marketing or related discipline
• 5-10 years product marketing experience preferably in consumer products, or with architectural or glazing products
• MBA highly desired
• Demonstrated depth of experience in market segmentation, research and statistical analysis
• International business experience, particularly experience acquired outside of the US, is highly valued
• A willingness to travel worldwide is required (estimate 30%)
• You need to be a highly motivated, driven and dynamic individual capable of handling a fast paced global environment that is growing and evolving to meet the needs of the market; particularly in the areas of energy, safety and security
