Job description - Product Marketing Manager - Online Sales
Are you experienced in product management and product development of e-commerce/online sales channels? Are you analytical with a getting-things-done mentality?
The Product Marketing Manager - Online Sales is part of the team responsible for all online products and services developed and maintained by the brand. The online product team is responsible for developing and managing an optimal online proposition that is available across the company's affiliates. The team owns the online products and defines these from business cases to propositions into the full detailed specifications and customer experience design, throughout the entire product lifecycle.
The Product Marketing Manager - Online Sales is responsible for strategic lifecycle product management and product development of the online sales experience (website, sales shop, checkout processes). The Strategy Concept Manager Online Sales works together with central and decentral development and operational (web) teams to execute upon the strategy and to achieve set performance objectives (web KPI's).
Operational online marketing and sales programs like search engine marketing, affiliate marketing, newsletter marketing, SEO are out of scope of the responsibility.
Main Responsibilities:
The key areas of responsibility for the Product Marketing Manager - Online Sales are:
- Responsible for online sales experiences online and the ongoing evolution of the sales channel, from business cases through development and operational product ownership.
- Pan-European product requirements gathering and product planning through detailed product requirements specifications with the affiliates and other stakeholders providing input.
- Acting as Product Champion/Product Owner in product development working with a cross-functional team through product development cycles.
- Structured analysis and reporting on online sales and conversion KPI's and managing ongoing process of performance improvements by development of new and better experiences on the web, both on the company's sites and third party touch points like Facebook etc..
- Oversee the quality of product development of his/her portfolio.
- Drive the business to more performance by strong co-operation with the operational teams in the countries.
Desired Skills Experience - Product Marketing Manager - Online Sales
- Demonstrable track record in product development and product management of e-commerce/online sales channels.
- University level in Economics/Finance, Business IT or IT.
- At least 5 years of experience in either e-commerce/online sales development or online media development, preferably in a telecommunications or online media/service industry.
- Proven track record in managing successful product developments (e-commerce/e-care or online media).
- Analytical (financial analysis and online KPI analysis).
- Ability to communicate and act on all levels within a large organization.
- Strong attention to detail and in depth understanding of online product development and management.
- A pragmatic, get things done mentality.
