Department
The recently created Internal Governance and Control (IGC) department is an independent control function reporting to the CEO of Santander UK and to the Board. This division is responsible for ensuring the bank has effective governance, product management and project control frameworks in place.
Role
Working closely with the manager of the Product Office and liaising with various teams across the Bank (Marketing, Complaints, etc.), you will be responsible for detailed product analysis and reporting against key risks and issues inherent within the bank''s product portfolio.
As a Product Office Finance MI Manager your main responsibilities will include:
- Data gathering and MI analysis - preparing and presenting reports to Executive Directors / Senior Managers defining issues, areas for improvement along with appropriate recommendations
- Complex commercial analysis
- Tracking performance in respect of specific product spend versus forecast and budget
- Ongoing assessment of financial exposure and adequacy of provisions, supported by robust reporting and analysis
- Development of processes and models for forecasting and reporting which keep abreast of industry and regulatory changes
Your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
Qualifications
- ACA / CIMA 3 years + post-qualified
- Financial modelling expertise
- Excellent understanding of the local business environment and of retail financial services products
- Confidence to challenge business processes / information, where appropriate, and to effectively manage and influence stakeholders to ensure the right outcomes for both the organisation and its customers
- Ability to quickly absorb and understand complex data / issues, to extract results and to present key conclusions
- Flexibility to quickly and effectively adapt in a fast-paced working environment
- Ability to work autonomously using initiative together with capacity to work under pressure and to deliver to tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills with an aptitude for developing effective working relationships and working successfully within a team
Salary: Up to £75,000 + £6,000 car allowance and excellent benefits which include contributory pension, higher than average holiday entitlement and private healthcare
