Product Performance Business Partner

The jobholder may be required to do the following activities:

Business Performance Management 40 %

- Support definition and setting of financial and non financial targets, applying benchmarks as appropriate.
- Analyse and interpret past and projected future business performance, monitor and evaluate actual to target performance.
- Provide professional financial commentary on product and segment performance and present regular performance reports to the senior product leadership team, recommending corrective action and performance improvement opportunities as appropriate.

Decision Support 35%

- Evaluate business decision - proposals and provide support for the production of function investment proposals - business cases.
- Review delivery of benefits from approved projects.
- Undertake external competitor and market trend analysis.
- Production of Financial Projections to support planning, budgeting and forecasting.

Strategy Planning 10%

- Undertake elements of strategic management activity, involving the identification of how value is created, destroyed and driven in the trade and working capital space.
- Implementation and embedding specific financial targets.
- Support product strategy execution, ensuring appropriate finance and control governance is in place to secure initiative success

Stakeholder Management 10%

- Coach and educate busi

Knowledge and Expertise - Essential

- Strong analytical skills and the ability to effectively interpret, summarise and communicate complex information.
- Good understanding of business processes and activities and the underlying income and cost drivers.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate financial analysis to non-financial people.
- An ability to acquire new skills and knowledge quickly.

Knowledge and Expertise - Preferred

- Knowledge of Corporate Banking Products and processes.
- Proven ability to provide high quality financial support to senior management level.
- Good understanding of business strategic objectives.
- Ability to drive process improvements and best practise.

Experience and Qualifications

SATISFIES THE FSA CRITERIA FOR AN APPROVED PERSON, BOTH INITIALLY AND ONGOING
- Proven experience working in a financially focused role.
- Financial Modelling skills.
- Qualified accountant.
- Experience in stakeholder Management.

Product Business Partner required in Trade and Debt Products environment of global tier 1 bank. Based in Canary Wharf and candidates must come from financial services, ideally banking, with excellent Analytics and Communication skills.

- Base Salary from £45,000 to £50,000 for the right candidates
