Product Planning Manager

INVISTA’s Performance Surfaces Materials (PSM) business is currently seeking an experienced candidate for the position of Product Planning Manager. This position will be based in our Kennesaw, GA office.
This position will be responsible for coordinating the planning and execution of the detailed demand, supply and inventory of a Performance Surfaces Materials product line.
Responsibilities:
- Interface with business and regional teams to plan and manage the short term detailed, and the 18 month family level supply/demand/inventory view for PSM products. Make adjustments to the plan as needed to meet business needs.
Expectations:
- Use economic thinking to identify opportunities, develop options and make recommendations that will Increase business profitability.
- Utilize demand planning tools to analyze demand and provide guidance to business leaders to improve forecast accuracy. Create forecast accuracy metrics.
- Calculate inventory targets and provide portfolio analysis and recommendations to business teams
- Primary contact for raising product demand and supply issues and coordination through the appropriate individuals/segments/regions to drive resolution (i.e. quality issues, planned/unplanned outages, inventory, etc.)
- Provide timely response to CSR’s on order placement and availability issues
- Provide direction, support, and coordination to the CSR’s and Import/Export Coordinator so that order and supply issues are dealt with quickly and efficiently
- Develop weekly summary of order activity, and demand / supply issues within the business segment, and lead supply chain portion of the weekly business meetings.
- Monitor and proactively manage non-active inventory
- Work in a fast paced environment
- Comfortable interacting with all levels of the organization
Required Skills Experience:
- At least 2 years of supply chain experience
- Demonstrated financial analysis capability
- Experience preparing and presenting issues, opportunities and proposed solutions to business teams
- Experience with supply chain data systems.
Preferred Skills Experience:
- SAP, Demand planning software
Education Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific or supply chain discipline, or comparable experience
Education Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a supply chain discipline, such as Industrial Engineering preferred.
