Product Services Operations Analyst, Counterparty Valuations (Client Valuations Or Collateral)

Seeking a Graduate in a financial or numerical discipline possessing 1-3 years of experience in ibank operations, notably with client valuations or collateral.    Applicants must possess no more than 3 years of professional experience.  Experience in ibank operations, notably with client valuations or collateral is required.

Responsibility of onboarding of key client accounts and ongoing management of client relationships.  This includes providing client demos, managing trials and related onboarding/client support activities.

The candidate will also be responsible for onboarding new clients, managing ongoing client relationships and providing client support.

Work with new and existing banks to increase the quality, quantity and breadth of data flowing into the platform. This involves regular calls or meetings, managing trials, and coordinating software releases on both the bank and inside.

The candidate will work with existing and new bank contributors, typically the collateral and valuations teams, and will:

-           be responsible for monitoring the quality and timeliness of trade and valuation data sent using a range of operational tools.

-           use innovative data parsing technology used to accelerate the adoption of the platform by bank contributors.

-           contribute towards specifying, testing and deploying improvements to these operational systems.

Duties accountabilities

Operate the process of collecting and processing trade and valuation data from banks, including prompt communication and escalation of any issue or delay. A high level of service for all external parties is required.

The systems used consist of:

-           a feed processor with a comprehensive monitoring and permissions framework

-           a highly configurable parser, also with comprehensive operational controls

-           a user interface for bank counterparts, including price challenge workflow

Contribute to continuing system development, notably of the parser functionality, by:

-           providing feedback to developers about defects and bugs

-           proposing and documenting system enhancements

-           testing and sign-off

-           Proactively identify and deliver improvements to operational process and system enhancements

-           Partner closely with related functions including client valuation analysts, other regional teams, developers, QA and sales.

Requirements              

Education and experience

-           Graduate or equivalent in a financial or numerical discipline.

-           1-3  years of experience in investment bank operations, notably with client valuations or collateral

-           Experience of client services or relationship management is an advantage.

Commercial awareness      

-           General knowledge of financial markets, OTC derivatives and securities

Technical skills 

-           A good knowledge of standard office software, notably Excel, is expected

-           Flexible and able to adapt to changing situations, with strong problem solving skills

-           Ability to work under time pressure and to strict daily deadlines

-           Able to work effectively as part of a global team, and partner closely with other regional operations teams, technology teams, QA and sales teams
