Product Specialist
This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the world's top Financial Technology firms in a varied, challenging and interesting role that will develop and reward the right candidate.
Our client is a world-leader in the provision of Fintech solutions to both sell-side and buy-side firms across the globe. This particular product division provides web-based Trading Risk Management software to firms that trade or hedge on the energy commodities markets. That includes Investment Firms, Corporations, Hedge Funds, Prop Traders, etc.
The role of the Product Specialist is to:
•Support the sales team by acting as product specialist throughout the sales process.
•Work with clients and prospects in a consultative manner to define ways to resolve client problems using the product set.
•Work with the sales team to create strategic sales messages highlight the benefits and value of the solutions.
•Prepare presentations and product demonstrations customised to fit the client or prospects' needs.
•Conduct on-site or remote demonstrations of the products.
•Act as technical/analytical expert for the commodity models, data methodology and reporting analytics used in the products.
Requirements:
•Experience in the commodities market, e.g. working with commodity derivatives in a front- or middle-office role.
•Quantitative analytical ability (MSc in Financial Engineering, Maths, Economics or other relevant subject preferred).
•Demonstrable communication and presentation skills.
•Ability to think critically and with problem-solving ability.
•Ability to understand business processes surrounding commodities risk management.
•Prior pre-sales or consulting experience is advantageous.
