Our client, a large pharmaceutical company, is looking to hire a Product Specialist Manager on a permanent basis as soon as possible.
The Product Specialist Manager plan, control and supervise team efforts. Is also participate to define product requirements and works closely with customers, executive stakeholders and product development to create specifications for dispensary software systems and related pharmacy technology products over multiple focus groups, business meetings, legislation and Third party requirements.
The Product Specialist Manager will be the key driver of product requirements for Pharmacy Management System (PMS) functionality and serve was the key central business expert for sales and operations and ensure that the solution is tuned to be responsive to customer needs. The Product Specialist develops product concepts and identifies business, marketing, and functional requirements for product improvements or new product features.
•Strong familiarity with the business processes and workflow associated with Pharmacy Retail processes or other related areas in the healthcare domain is preferred but not required
•Well-versed in techniques of market analysis and segmentation and business requirements analysis
•Well-versed in techniques of functional requirements specification
•Tracks and reports status and other metrics against goals on an ongoing basis
•Helps teams achieve project goals while being aware of and sensitive to the overall business goals
•Strong interpersonal skills and is an effective communicator with diverse audiences, including both technical and non-technical customers and colleagues.
•Reviews with team regular performance updates and/or reviews for identifications of variances and corrective actions
•Understand and support an iterative, cross-functional product development life cycle.
•Being up to date on relevant industry developments is an asset
•On-going interface between client and development team
•Qualify clients needs and asses next steps
•Recommend solutions and offerings
•Demo product during throughout sales cycle
•Correspond with Third Party Carriers and Government Agencies on behalf of the pharmacies.
•Coordinate with Provincial Government to coordinate legislation change and collect requirements
•Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS or in a relevant discipline, such as Business Administration,
•2+ years experience in product or project management with a software
•4 years in a Pharmacy Assistant role with familiarity of pharmacy products and operations
•Health Information Science; Pharmacy Technician diploma an asset
•3 years experience in a Pharmacy Systems Specialist or Software Trainer role, with knowledge of software and support requirements
•2 years experience in a Pharmacy Assistant role with familiarity of pharmacy products and operations
•Requires Business Analysis experience in the health care sector, preferably Pharmacy
•Know ledge of pharmacy industry, products, operations and regulations required (includes familiarity with dispensary applications, automated dispensing systems, Inventory applications, Long-Term Care facilities as related to pharmacy)
•Experience with agile or SCRUM methodology for product development is an asset
•Strong analytic skills
•Strong written and oral communication skills
•Demonstrated ability to lead and participate effectively in cross-functional teams
•Ability to manage multiple projects/timelines
•Experience with a commercial software development cycle is an asset
