Product Specialist – Sales recruitment

Responsibilities

Responsible for generating new business and growing existing relationships, covering a defined territory and base of business. As well as working with the senior relationship manager in managing overall client relationships. Moody's Analytics sales force is organised to emphasise a team sales culture.
Credit Product Specialists may call upon product and solutions specialists to assist in presenting products, benefits, and solutions to prospective clients.  As an Associate, you will be expected to find new prospective clients, direct sales specialists, and manage sales cycles to closure as well as aid in retention of existing accounts.

-Generate new business and grow relationships covering a defined territory and base of business.
-Convey the Moody's Analytics value proposition, and deliver on sales targets for both new and recurring revenue through combination of:
-Prospecting for new clients
-Selling additional services to existing clients
-Selling new products
-Re-enforce value proposition to retain and grow client relationships
-Significant meeting activity
-Leading, advancing, and negotiating sales to closing
-Maintain high level of product knowledge
-Work with Senior Relationship Manager to gain and maintain familiarity with client organization.
-Manage sales cycles using coordination and communication skills to involve sales specialists and Senior Relationship Manager where appropriate
-Provide current forecasts and pipeline information to management
-Introduce leads to other business units where appropriate

Experience

-Must be degree educated (or equivalent), preferably gained in a finance or numerical discipline.
-Fluent English and German essential.
-Additional European language is required preferably.
-Must have prior experience of working within or selling into capital markets. Experience in selling financial software would also be preferred.
-Sales and/or relationship management experience is required, preferably within the financial services sector.
-Proven track record of sales capability.
-A credit or capital markets background would be preferred, but is not essential.
-Solid demonstrated understanding of the financial markets.
-Ability to sell on a needs/solutions approach.
-Ability to close deals effectively.
-Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision, yet integrate appropriately with the team and other areas within Moody's.
-Strong interpersonal/relationship building skills and able to successfully manage multiple client relationships.
-Strong negotiation skills and able to influence key decision makers during the 360º sales process.
-High level of commitment.
-Highly organised and good time management skills.
-Must have the motivation and ability to excel in an intense, high energy, selling environment.
-Good interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong professional relationships at all levels, with both internal and external parties.
-Familiar with modern computer applications (MS Office, Internet).
