Tractor Product Specialist
Case IH Tractor Specialists use their product knowledge to assist sales teams in selling the value, productivity and efficiency of the complete line of Case IH tractors. The new Case IH Go-To-Market strategy utilizes teams led by Territory Sales Managers to focus on key account customers, to provide them with equipment system solutions that maximize their productivity and profitability. Product Specialists are key members of these teams in selling the value of the products they represent, leading to higher Case IH market share.
If you are a professional in the agricultural equipment business with experience selling or supporting cash crop tractors and you have a desire to sell product value and expand your impact, this position is for you. This position is customer facing; a desire to serve customers and provide them with productive tractor solutions is an absolute necessity.
This person will be the recognized tractor expert within a defined region. Responsibilities include:
- Drive cash crop tractor retail sales actions in coordination with Territory Sales Managers and dealers to achieve desired retail unit and share objectives in the assigned territory. Provide focused effort on key accounts to increase CIH share of this segment.
- Plan, manage and provide direct retail customer and dealer support, including product demonstrations, field days, dealer meetings, and customer visits to achieve retail unit and share objectives in the assigned territory.
- Serve as the product expert for tractors to sales and marketing, with input to product management, and product development teams.
- Develop marketing training materials for tractors for effective communication of product value, features and benefits to the respective commercial organization, dealer network, and other specialist’s needs.
Requirements
Position requirements:
- Minimum 1 year direct selling experience or support of agricultural products (1+ years industry sales experience).
- Extensive knowledge of agriculture and farming practices
- B.S. degree in agriculture, business, engineering or related area, or equivalent experience.
Preferred skills and background:
- Agricultural equipment knowledge, competitive products, selling and marketing approaches, and general business management knowledge.
- Working knowledge of tractor fundamentals (hydraulics, electronics, auto guidance, etc.) and the proper setup and operation of a variety of implements
- Experience and comfort level working directly with customers of agricultural equipment.
- Must be willing to travel up to 75% of the time to visit dealers and customers.
