Product Strategist (Own Brands) recruitment
Responsibilities include
- Conduct market feedback, competitive analysis, benchmarking and gap-analysis to determine best practice for discretionary product lines and identify competitive strengths and weaknesses.
- Manage market research for respective asset class or product type to identify approaches to best satisfy client requirements, whilst also meeting client demand including; desk research to undertake due diligence, quantitative modelling and back-testing.
- Develop strategy recommendation for own branded funds range, including new products, product roadmap prioritisation, to enhance the existing fund offering to be both market leading and to meet critical client needs.
- Develop project plans and business cases to secure approval and resource to undertake product enhancements or new development.
- Manage stakeholder group and implement new Product Management (own branded funds) strategy through best practice project management.
- Recommend and implement market leading selection criteria, ensuring appropriate selection of investment partners.
- Provide input for all aspects of product introduction, including positioning, key messaging, coordination with marketing to develop collateral and present product information.
- Act as subject matter expert, including responsibility for supporting sales and client retention.

- Ability to communicate investment concepts to instil confidence in key clients, intermediaries internal stakeholders.

- Proven ability to convey complex investment concepts to different audience groups, from experienced investment professionals to laypersons.
- Business acumen and proven record of product delivery/management.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to use complex features on MS Excel.
- Able to manage and motivate a team.
Experience and Qualifications
- Extensive experience in investment management OR;
- Proven experience as Investment Product Manager (with Asset Manager) or Portfolio Manager.
- Undergraduate degree in Business/Economics/Commerce/Quantitative discipline.
- IMC and/or Securities industry certifications regarding investments and funds.
- Masters degree in Finance (MBA) desirable.
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) desirable.
