Opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Testing, MG are looking to recruit an experienced Test Manager as part of the Testing Team. The team are responsible for managing the testing resources and improving product quality work to ensure the successful delivery across a wide variety of business areas from front to back office.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of Projects/Products across different business units. Initially the role will focus on the Products of the integration/messaging (STP) layer.
The candidate will have strong experience working as a Test Manager with a good knowledge of fixed income, equities, cash and stock lending products. Additionally the candidate must have strong stakeholder management and communication skills, preferably from an asset management background.
Key responsibilities
* Creation of test strategies.
* Providing estimates.
* Planning test phases, documenting and communicating these plans.
* Management of test cases, results and evidence.
* Scheduling of test environments to support multiple streams of testing, including data provision.
* Managing test execution (including entry/exit criteria).
* Defect management.
* Risk management and escalation.
* Stakeholder communication and management - specifically to business sponsors, project managers, development teams, configuration management, release managers and analysts.
* Carry out post-project/release reviews with peer groups.
* Creation and maintenance of product regression test packs.
What we are looking for
Essential
* Knowledge of the Trade Lifecycle.
* Understanding of Asset Management.
* ISEB/ISTQB qualified.
* Thorough understanding of testing principles and best practices.
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Strong team player.
* Proficient use of Excel.
Desired
* Previous experience of messaging/STP systems.
* Knowledge of SWIFT.
* Experience of using automated testing tools.
* Experience in any of the following systems:
o Quasar
o Global One
o LatentZero
o thinkFolio
* Exposure to Weblogic applications
