Product Transaction Manager
Reporting to Middle Office lead in China as well as the Global Head of Transaction Management, the Transaction Management role will take responsibility for all Global Markets Transaction processing and support across all asset classes. Additionally, the role will have responsibility to perform supporting tasks for the other Middle Office functions such as Collateral Management, Product Management and Client On-Boarding as they related to China.
The main BAU component will be liaising with Sales, Trading, Structuring team, Legal and Operations to ensure the efficient transaction of mainly non-vanilla deals.
These products are distributed across a range of clients from investor clients, funds, corporate and institutions. It is essential when new clients are introduced to Global Markets that they are on boarded in a quick, effective and efficient manner by a dedicated team of specialists.
The Transaction Management Role for China would include:
• Trade level position reconciliations to ensure risk fully reflected in Murex
• Trade Input Validation
• Co-ordination and investigation of any booking/settlement/matching/PL issues with Ops/PC
• Option Exercise/Expiry/Resets reports/monitoring
• Cancel/Amends/Reissues
• Counterparty Limit Checking including start of day report
• Opening day risk positions and checks against futures exchange limits
• Flash PL preparation PL Investigation (trader keeps final responsibility of Flash number)
• Client Valuations review/preparation
The Middle Office support for China would include:
• Be active in cross-training across other Middle Office functions such as Product Delivery, Client On Boarding and Collateral Management
• Responsibility for initiatives, projects or process improvements requested by key stakeholders
Proactive approach required around control management, process improvement ad other Transactional efficiencies
Essential Experience Profile:
1.Experience in Transaction Management, Trade Support or similar function within Markets
2.Experience / knowledge across multiple asset classes (Rate, FX, Credit, Commodities and Commodities) within a Markets environment and exposure to relevant systems, policies and procedures.
3.Detailed knowledge of derivatives and other financial instruments and their applications
4.Effective communication and stakeholder management are key aspects of the role. You will be required to communicate with sales, trading, and heads of business, customers, operations and product implementation teams across multiple geographies.
5.Ability to influence outcomes and negotiate between senior stakeholders
6.High levels of energy, self drive and initiative
7.Can do attitude and attention to detail
8.Degree educated with 5+ years Financial Markets experience.
