POSITION LOCATION: Position is based east of Queens, on Long Island, NY. We advertise in various locations to raise the visibility of this opportunity for those interested in relocating.
THE OPPORTUNITY:
Our client, a marketing communications and corporate design company, seeks to engage the services of a Production Art Specialist, experience in corporate package design work in the food industry.
This position is based east of Queens, on Long Island.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Effective and efficient preparation of digital production art files that adhere to standards.
Review / Proof and approve all files for content, color accuracy and printability.
Serve as the liason between the designer, separator and the printer.
Initiate and lead pre-production meetings with client, separator and printer.
Analyze and anticipate potential production challenges and opportunities.
Attend press runs as required.
Address and resolve all printing issues.
Provide Account Team with solutions to best serve the clients’ needs.
REQUIREMENTS
8-10 years experience in the production/packaging design.
Advanced knowledge of packaging regulatory and client procedural requirements.
Excellent technical, communication and organizational skills.
Ability to multi-task and effectively work under changing priorities and deadlines.
Strong problem solving skills with a strong attention to details.
Mastery of Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and Quark Xpress, Microsoft Office Suite.
Team player, self-starter with positive “can-do” attitude.
COMPENSATION:
Salary is commensurate with experience.
