Description

Overview of Position:

The Corporate Trust Systems Division operates a range of LoB supported applications together with common corporate shared services in order to deliver products to their clients. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted delivery of these systems to the business and to facilitate changes to these systems to enable the business to grow and expand into new markets. (S)he is recognized as a positive leader and frequently provides feedback and strategic recommendations to management. Able to affect change within sphere of influence and leads development of innovative improvements. Capable of implementing complex small to medium-scale projects. .

Key responsibilities:

* Lead incident analysis, testing and implementation, engaging other platform or tower leads and SMEs where necessary; lead resolution efforts where possible and partner with upper tier support teams with key information for more expedient resolution;
* Provide backup to the International Production Manager for holiday/sickness cover and out-of-hours issues.
* Oversee SLA or SLO wellness checkpoints on the status of critical processing events and work to refine reporting formats for status reports as required; lead efforts to develop new wellness checks and periodic review of the efficiency of current checks
* Able to articulate the business value and impact of advanced technical and non-technical information with ease and knows when to seek senior management assistance
* Provides effective production support including accurate problem identification, ticket documentation and customer/vendor dialogue. Frequently anticipates problems and analyzes ways to mitigate the risk.
* Lead or mentor investigation of root cause analysis of dependencies across disparate groups for all Lines of Business and application development teams.
* Take lead role in developing and refining BNYMellon standards, service offering, and best practices; develop and maintain supporting documentation
* Process platform customer requests for workflow scheduling changes and promote emergency "unplanned" change packages through Bank of New York change management application as required; assist with metrics focused on failed/successful changes
* Mentor and lead other team members on the use of BNYMellon toolsets toolsets; assist with the development of proactive tools or metrics derived from existing tools, and analyze data from these metrics for process improvements
* Lead team, project, and application support meetings as required.
* Develop departmental training plans for internal technical training classes, seminars, and on-the-job training sessions for internal and external team members.
* Take departmental lead role in the execution of Disaster Recovery (DR) testing as required.

Qualifications

Skills Required:

* Operational Management/Production Manager experience in a multiplatform, multi-location, 7 x 24 environment
* Knowledge of best practice in change, problem, incident, configuration and system health management (ITIL)
* Experience of working in both support and project situations and understanding the pressures of both environments, potential areas of conflict and differing demands and risks
* Projects excellent command of business knowledge and has the ability to solicit input from internal and external sources
* Experience on global/multi-site projects including facilitation of meetings with remote participants
* Good understanding of hardware infrastructure, networking technologies
* Flexibility to work unsociable hours, work under extreme pressure, weekend rotation schedules, or to carry an on-call phone when SME expertise is required for incident management escalation situations
* Required experience in making key project and/or implementation decisions
* Management of external vendor and internal supplier teams across multiple locations
