Job Functions The scope of the internship involves close collaboration with the manufacturing departments, such as Assembly and Machining, as well as supporting functional areas such as logistics, engineering, finance, IT, sales and marketing. Together with the project manager, the intern supports cost saving initiatives from the idea generation, evaluation, calculation, tracking, verification to the final implementation and validation. The intern will have the following main responsibilities: Support in the operational budget planning process Calculation of the Product Unit Cost Analytical support of Operations Management Analysis of monthly Operations expenses vs. budget Creating Management Presentation about financial status of the business Development of key performance indicators (KPIs) for the plant to better steer the business Initiate continuous improvement ideas and proposals that focus on cost saving and revenue enhancement Create reports from Cost Savings Tool and prepare management reviews Perform special projects and assignments as required Basic Qualifications Must be pursuing a 4 year degree, or up to 1 year from graduation date, in Business Administration, Finance and/or Controlling Must have a GPA of 3.0 or better Proficiency in Microsoft Office (esp. MS Excel and MS PowerPoint) Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements Experience with cost savings and implementation We will be hiring two interns.
