Production Engineer Job in Vista 92083, California US
Douglas Wheel is a medium size manufacturer of spun and cast aluminum wheels for off road and racing vehicles. Our facility in Vista, CA employs over 70 people in production. We have an immediate opening for a Production engineer reporting to Plant Manger.
Responsibilities:
BS degree in Mechanical engineering or work experience equivelent.
Master Cam programming a must.
Above average experience in use of Auto Cad and Solid Works in creating tool, part and process drawing.
Be able to reverse engineer and make drawings from sample products and tools.
Hands on knowledge of lathes and mill setup procedures.
Understanding of Lean manufacturing and specifically setup reduction.
Understanding and practicing team based problem solving.
Using Microsoft Word and Excel to document and communicate progress.
Provide shop support and implementing changes to manufacturing processes.
Work with vendors and partners in new product development.
A team player.
Be able to communicate with all levels of employees and management.
Knowledge of welding and CMM is a plus.
