Heinz North America is searching for an exceptional Group Leader of Night Production to support our Dianne's Desserts facility.
What is the role?
As a key member of this dynamic team, your superior leadership capabilities will be fully leveraged and optimized. Overseeing and monitoring the performance of production operations concerning quality, safety, productivity, sanitation, customer service, waste, and financial control, you will practice the principles of continuous improvement ('CI') and utilize your advanced communication skills to manage all aspects of food preparation and production (baking, icing and packing) under the guidelines of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points ('HACCP') Good Manufacturing Practices ('GMPs').
In this role you will guide your Employees, Leads and Managers on a daily basis to maximize productivity while supporting Heinz's commitment to quality food safety. You will have the opportunity to open communication networks and share ideas with the end goal of resolving technical problems, scheduling conflicts, equipment issues, and employee concerns. Your sense of urgency and attention to detail will ensure that all standard operating procedures are in effect and a safe work environment is enjoyed by all employees. As a leader of this team you will have the opportunity to participate or lead capital and non-capital projects and will play a key role in factory events/projects. You will also have full involvement in the employee review process.
Who would be successful?
We are looking for a degreed professional with 2-3 years of Supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment (food manufacturing experience preferred). The ideal individual presents a track record demonstrating exceptional problem solving and decision making skills as well as strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) is a requirement, and experience with basic CI tools and lean manufacturing principles is a plus. Bi-lingual skills (English + Spanish or Somalian) are preferred.
In this leadership role, the incumbent must possess the ability to work closely with the Plant Manager and staff in a team environment, creating a positive, productive work atmosphere through effective communication, cross-training, and individualized development of personnel. You and your immediate team will work collectively toward the achievement of department and plant goals through proper coaching, counseling and recognition.
