Up to £29,000 Production Improvement Engineer - This is an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer looking to develop further in the field of automation and process improvement. Ideally the successful candidate will be from a CNC, precision manufacturing environment although other environments, such as PCB, component assembly and plastics, will be considered. This is an opportunity to join an innovative and high profile aerospace and defence company. The client specialises in the manufacture of heat exchangers for the aerospace and defence industries.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
· HNC or Modern Apprenticeship
· A working knowledge of electronics and electrics.
· Knowledge of PLC’s.
· Experience producing TPM schedules and the ability to implement OEE for new plant.
· Experience providing general technical support to the engineering, quality and manufacturing teams.
· Ideally the successful candidate will have experience working within a tube manipulation environment.
This is a very exciting opportunity with a well-established company with a strong reputation in the aerospace industry. The successful applicant will be responsible for the development and implementation of automation projects within the tube manipulation, component handling, assembly and test environment.
This role is commutable from Birmingham, Coventry, Wolverhampton and Tamworth. We also welcome applications from candidates who are able to realistically relocate.
