As a Production Leader, you are responsible for leadership of complex manufacturing operation spanning multiple product groups (Remanufacturing, Configured Product, Standard Drives, and Printed Circuit Boards) in Ladysmith, WI. Directs financial performance, human resource issues, and facility needs, customer order requirements, purchasing functions, quality control and preparation of annual operating business plan. Supports Plant Manager in development of Global manufacturing Strategy and long range manufacturing plan. Directly responsible for annual operating budget comprised of $200 million product revenue and $35M average inventory. Direct and indirect reports comprised of approximately 200 employees.
Essential Functions:
Manage all facility personnel to accomplish daily and yearly objectives. Establish local human resource management systems and procedures for hiring, training, appraising performance, communications, salaries and benefits administration, etc. Establish specific objectives, standards, and operating procedures for all personnel and appraise individual performance. Establish effective procedures for communicating local and company issues.
Develop and maintain 3-5 year facility plan.
Establish, plan, and implement the necessary employee engagement programs required to foster a culture of teamwork and continuous performance improvement.
Establish, plan, and implement systems, procedures, and continuous improvement programs to maximize quality, customer service, productivity, and asset management.
Develop expense and capital budgets and manage financial performance.
Manage all issues associated with facility operations and maintenance.
Manage all issues associated with Rockwell Automation’s presence in the local community.
Knowledgeable and has awareness of ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 standard. Implement and maintain procedures and policies to ensure facility registration to ISO quality and environmental standards.
Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering or Business. MBA desirable.
Minimum of 5 years in a similar position.
Demonstrated Lean manufacturing knowledge and hands on experience.
Proven leadership skills.
Successful implementation of continuous improvement plans.
Project management skills.
