Production Manager - East Hartford, CT Job

The Production Manager energizes motivates an experienced team of production maintenance employees to work safely, improve cycle time, focus on quality, meet production goals. Oversees the regeneration of ion exchange resins other water treatment media, focusing on ways to improve processes increase productivity. Team with the Plant Manager to foster a compliance-based culture with outside regulatory agencies, within GE itself. Act as a driving force for the EHS program. Essential Responsibilities Manage the logistics of preparing mobile water treatment equipment for dispatch to customer sites, ensuring quality customer satisfaction. In this role, you will: - Participate in the selection, interviewing hiring of new regeneration, manufacturing, maintenance delivery specialist employees - Optimize operations by creating, implementing managing continuous improvement projects in the areas of: chemical utility usage, waste water treatment, regeneration efficiency, water treatment equipment turnover, procurement, maintenance, inventory management - Manage the orientation training of new employees - Motivate employees thru inclusiveness, tangible rewards recognition, strategic developmental plans - Champion integrity ethical work practices - Directly back up the Plant Manager - Lead by example develops close working relationships with the plant staff, vendors, customers leaders Qualifications/Requirements: - Bachelor s or Associates Degree in engineering, science, or business - Minimum of 1 year of experience with water treatment processes, such as, but not limited to, demineralization, deoxygenation, filtration, membrane processes like reverse osmosis (RO) or Gas Transfer Membranes (GTM); or other treatments, such as Electrodionization (EDI), Microfiltration, Ultrafiltration, etc. Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening. Desired Characteristics - Bachelor s Degree preferred - Knowledge of water treatment processes such as deionization, softening, reverse osmosis de-oxygenation - Knowledge of DOT regulations compliance - Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing process, Six Sigma /or Kaizan - Knowledge of ISO 9000 QMS - Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, other governmental Regulations - Project Management experience - Strong oral written communication skills - Strong interpersonal skills awareness - Demonstrated leadership skills - Demonstrated teamwork skills - Sense of urgency - Accountable - Clear thinker - Ability to interact well with others at various levels within the organization - Excellent verbal written communication skills - Computer experience with MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel PowerPoint - Desire to work for a company with a proven track record for career opportunities advancement Why join one great company when you can join many?
