Production Manager
Responsibilities:
Ø Manage all production activities to ensure the manufacture of the high quality product in the most cost effective manner
Ø Monitors all aspects of production to include maintenance issues, equipment status, raw material availability, waste and personnel availability and development
Ø Act as a liaison with other groups to include Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Product Development, Continuous Improvement, and Sales to improve the efficiency of operations.
Ø Identify productivity improvements using Demand Flow Technology (DFT), Kaizen, Six Sigma, SMED, Cycle Time Reduction, and other Lean Manufacturing techniques
Ø As a valued member of the management team, establish production and quality standards, write SOPs, and promote positive company image.
Requirements:
Ø Bachelor’s degree with 4-6 years of manufacturing experience in a supervisory capacity. Advanced degree and MBA a plus. Experience in Packaging, Films, Paper, and / or Printing a plus
Ø Strong financial acumen with ability to create and analyze budgets
Ø Superior leadership skills with a history of mentoring, training, motivating, and developing teams is essential
Ø Ability to achieve or exceed customer expectations relative to product specifications, quality, on-time delivery and overall superior customer service skills
Ø Must have a passion for creating and promoting improvement to meet and exceed safety goals, quality goals, financial goals and operational excellence
Ø Must have a passion for excellence and an ability to influence, negotiate, and gain consensus from others to achieve goals
