Lenze is looking for a Production Manager with Mechanical Assembly experience to join and lead a team of production staff. This role reports to the Director of Operations and is key to the success of the plant. Candidate will be responsible for quality, cost management, safety, efficiency and executing production schedules to support customer service objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Direct supervision and utilization of all resources to meet and exceed objectives in a fast paced, high mix assembly environment.
• Maintains high standards of performance. Ensure that department processes, safety standards, good housekeeping practices are followed.
• Utilize problem solving techniques, teamwork building strategies, process controls, and continuous process improvement methods to meet or exceed the facility key operating statistics.
• Initiate continuous improvement projects.
• Daily interfacing with Customer Service for priority and direction to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Optimization of resources to ensure produced products are high quality and on time to the customers request date.
• Overall accountability for facility production schedules and requirements including quality, quantity, safety.
• Develop, update, and maintain SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and Hazard Assessments
• Timely reporting as required.
• Provide training and cross training to ensure production schedules, product specifications, quality requirements and safety standards are met/maintained within budget.
• People management including recruitment, reviews, evaluations, guidance, discipline and discharge of employees as necessary to ensure department meets or exceeds productivity requirements.
• Coach and provide advice, technical expertise, and other necessary tools to employees to resolve processing issues and ensure continuous flow.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree- Engineering, Operations Management and/or other relevant area of study.
• 5 – 7 years production management experience, preferably within a Mechanical Assembly environment
• 3 – 5 years experience with Industrial Automation products such as Gearboxes, Servo motors, AC Motors and Brakes.
• Proven understanding and experience with financial processes including budgeting.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop a strong team environment, mentor high potentials for the promotion of internal growth.
• High level of accountability, quality and innovation.
• Confident, motivated, flexible, comfortable working independently and showing initiative.
• German Language is a plus.
• Intermediate level MS Office applications, experience with SAP.
• Recognize the need for, and possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Adhere to stated and self-imposed deadlines with emphasis on accuracy and strong attention to detail.
