Position Description

Plans and conducts production and acceptance test flights. Demonstrates or leads the production acceptance process. Identifies and documents flight deficiencies and coordinates resolution. Plans, coordinates and conducts delivery, ferry, support and functional test flights on production and non-production aircraft. Serves as Pilot-In-Command. Job requires FAA ATP or commercial certificate with the appropriate endorsements.

Complete knowledge of airplane components, systems and terminology at a GenFam level.

Complete knowledge and ability to use standard crew resource management, weight and balance calculations, navigation procedures, airspace, meteorology, aircraft performance data, communication operations, flight planning, industry regulations and pilot aviation skills to perform aircraft operations.

Intermediate knowledge and ability to perform customer operational tasks (e.g., weapons delivery, aerial refueling, Night Vision Systems (NVS) operations, over water navigation). The ability to comprehend and communicate program related operational requirements.

Basic Qualifications For Consideration

Do you hold a FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Rotorcraft/Helicopter and Instrument/Helicopter ratings?

Are you a US Army trained attack helicopter Maintenance Test Pilot?

Typical Education/Experience

Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Job requires a current and unrestricted FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Rotorcraft/Helicopter and Instrument Helicopter ratings. Must be qualified as an AH-64D Maintenance Test Pilot. Prefer AH-64D Instructor Pilot and Maintenance Evaluator qualifications. Must have, or be able to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
