The suuccessful candidate will have a background in Purchasing/Materials/Buying/Supply chain and Procurement and be looking to develop a career within a forward thinking company
Job Responsibilities:
As a Materials Planner, you will be:
* Purchasing components at best cost to the business
* Supporting the development of stock policies and local supply agreements with suppliers to improve performance
* Investigating and understanding the root cause of supply problems
* Planning and expediting components to ensure on time delivery to the customer
* Monitoring and maintaining the material schedules
* Maintenance of safety stock levels, supplier lead times and MRP systems
* Investigating and challenging price increases and increase to MOQ’s and MBQ’s
* Justifying and raising infills
Preferred Skills:
* A background in supply chain
* International suppliers
* Computer Literate MS Office to include word and excel
* A team player who can work under own inititive
