Production Planner/Scheduler-Direct Hire Job in Racine, Wisconsin Us

Experis is currently working with a growing international organization near the WI/IL border looking for an experienced Production Planner/Scheduler. Candidates must have 5+ years of experience as a Production Planner/Scheduler in a manufacturing environment with a preference to those in the plastics, printing/converting, and packaging industries. A 4 year degree is also highly preferred along with experience with SAP or other related ERP systems including implementation. This position is commutable from Chicago and Milwaukee so only local candidates can be considered.

OBJECTIVES: To plan the use of resources and materials in the most efficient manner possible while ensuring the service to our customers is maintained at the highest level or better than is achieved within the industry.
MAIN DUTIES
Conversion of the customer needs into a manufacturing plan.
Identification of manufacturing resources needed to achieve the sales budget.
Preparation of materials budget for paper and cartons.
Preparation of printing for ALL products.
Maintain an overview of the forming plan.
Monitor performance against the plan and initiate corrective action as needed.
Monitor Key accounts stock models (MCD)
Support Customer Service in the preparation of promotional Time Lines.
Maintain an overview of paper, carton stocks.
Work with purchasing and materials control to develop stock ordering models.
Identification of training needs.
Monitor and progress new design procedure ensuring all materials are available.
Work with IT, accounts and production to develop the SAP/BPCS manufacturing package.
To participate in a programme of continuous improvement.

PERSONAL PROFILE:

Qualifications: Degree or equivalent preferable in engineering or science discipline.

Skills/ attributes:
Experience of MRP planning systems
Advanced Microsoft Office
Planning and Forecasting
Knowledge of supply chain management.
Must be systematic / methodical.
Good communicator and presenter of statistical data
Flexible and able to multi task in high pressure and complex changing environment
Proven ability to achieve results in line with operational needs
Must be self-motivated and capable of motivating team members.
