Tranter, Inc. is currently searching for a Production Scheduling Manager
Tranter, Inc. will pay for relocation to Wichita Falls, TX.
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for production planning, both long and short term and for shipping operations and for all systems related to the ERP system.
Job Functions:
· Provide leadership to a team of planners and shipping/receiving personnel.
· Manage all aspects of production planning, scheduling, inventory control, material flow, systems, and reporting for a fast paced manufacturing plant.
· Execute corporate and strategic plans to meet goals, including on-time delivery, performance, cycle time reductions and productivity improvements.
· Oversee customer order fulfillment
· Aggressively reduce costs and improve flexible delivery systems
· Maximize MPS/MRP system utilization
· Develop improved planning, inventory management, and purchasing systems
· Work as a true team player, willing to perform tasks outside of the day-to-day operations environment.
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree preferably in Operations Management, Business or Engineering
Experience:
· Five to seven years of materials management and planning.
Required Skills:
· Strong people management interpersonal communication skills
· A proven track record of cost saving, inventory turns improvement, and implementation of planning approached (including JIT, Kanban and Lean manufacturing)
· Knowledge of advance spreadsheet tools, word-processing, and manufacturing-control software applications is required.
Preferred Skills:
· An advanced degree in Business or Engineering
· APICS certification
· Knowledge of Mapics and/or other similar MRP systems
