Georgia-Pacific is currently seeking a Production Supervisor for our Mt Wolf, PA Packaging Plant
 
Position: Production Supervisor
 
Responsibilities: Successful candidate will be self-driven with a passion for excellence in leadership, safety, manufacturing, and customer focus.  Responsibilities will focus around safety, production, housekeeping, quality, and waste.  Other responsibilities will include:
 
-          Ensuring that minimum quality expectations are followed and met on daily
           basis
-          Ensuring best practices are being followed for minimization of waste at
           machine centers
-          Tracking continuous improvement opportunities where performance issues
           are apparent and providing leadership/action plans for gap closure
-          Ensuring strict adherence to plant safety, housekeeping and 6S efforts
-          Identifying repairs needed at machine centers and creating work requests
           for completion; following-up as required
 
Basic Qualifications:
-          Must have high school diploma or equivalent
-          Must have 2 or more years' experience in a supervisory role within the 
           manufacturing, industrial or military environment
 
Preferred Qualifications:
-          Experience in the corrugated packaging or containerboard
           manufacturing environment preferred
-          Strong problem solving/root-cause analysis skills
-          Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing
           environment
-          Proficiency with MS Office (especially Excel) and KIWI (preferred).
-          Strong sense of accountability
-          Strong commitment to Compliance and defined procedure and policies
-          Strong communication, planning and organization skills.
-          Desire to advance in responsibility in manufacturing arena
