This position is responsible for the provision of people leadership and coordination of workflow activities in the department. Ensuring on-time delivery and meeting of customer requirements. This role specifically focuses on coordinating work activities for the department.

Principal Duties:

Coordinate and distribute work to employees for on time compliance and commitment to deadlines.

Ensure employees are working effectively and productively from production schedules.

In conjunction with planners and expediters, co-ordinate materials with production schedules.

In conjunction with Engineering and relative to new business, ensure necessary equipment is available to produce parts.

Promote safety in the workplace through daily safety talks and other employee forums.

Continuous improvement – quality, on time delivery, improve department processes to meet objectives, 5S, lean initiatives.

Develop others by coaching, encouraging, sharing ideas, showing leadership.

Ensure that employees are functioning in a productive manner and producing quality parts on time.

Schedule and conduct meetings re: production, safety, process presentations, and continuous improvement.

Analytical skills through effective problem solving and strategic planning.

Training and cross training employees to promote flexibility and adaptability.

Implement goals and objectives in the department, communicate Rockwell vision, values and objectives.

Promote and foster a culture that embraces change and continuous improvement.

A University degree preferably in business or related discipline.

3 or more years of manufacturing management experience.

CPIM designation or actively pursuing.

Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Lean / Quality principles, and materials management.

Demonstrated project management experience.

Demonstrated strong computer proficiency in MicroSoft Office software including high proficiency in Excel.
