Production Supervisor Job in Chandler 85226, Arizona US
I. Position Description
This individual will be responsible for direct supervision of a production shift. This individual will be managing the daily performance of up to 30 production employees working in the areas of thermal processing, cold working, finishing, and packaging. This position will be measured through daily operations performance of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
II. Responsibilities
• Manage daily activities of Aluminum Manufacturing Operators (direct and indirect employees).
• Manage shift staffing requirements to ensure Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost objectives are met.
• Administer training auditing, time attendance, policy procedures, counseling discipline.
• Active participation with continuous improvement efforts.
• Utilize KPS tools for problem prevention and solving (Lean Tools).
III. Relationships
• Supervisory responsibility for all production departments.
• Direct supervision of Aluminum Manufacturing Operators.
• Interacts with Staff and Managers regularly.
IV. Background and Preferred Skills
• REQUIREMENT Four year degree and 3+ years in a manufacturing environment
• Two to Five years supervising employees
• Working knowledge of thermal processing, cold working, and extrusion of aluminum alloys
• Solid problem solving (analytical) skills
• Computer skills (Windows-based: spreadsheet, charts/graphs and word processing)
• Experience with Lean Management Systems/Tools
