Production Supervisor
Supervises the assigned operating shift of Marietta Corporation: Studies work schedules and estimates worker-hour requirements for completion of job assignment. Interprets specifications and job orders to workers, and assigns duties. Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules, using knowledge of capacities of machines and equipment. Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment, performance, quality, and efficiency. Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems. Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers. Recommends or initiates personnel actions, such as training, promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures. Maintains time and production records. May estimate, requisition, and inspect materials. May confer with workers representatives to resolve grievances. Supervises Janitorial staff to ensure plant cleanliness. Supervises the Bulk Tank area to meet production requirements. Assists in developing and implementing new procedures to improve efficiency. Reviews and keeps up to date on company policies and SOP's and interprets them to workers. Monitors production rates and efficiencies and makes adjustments as needed. Coordinates with and communicates with other shift supervisors to ensure transition and to inform of any special operational considerations. Works with scheduling, QC, engineering and other departments to ensure proper coordination and operational effectiveness. Write procedures to define the duties of the employees that work in the department. Ensure enforcement by subordinates of all procedures including safety procedures. Understand fully the intent of cGMP's. Performs other related duties as required
