Electro-Motive Diesel, Inc. (EMD) is a fully integrated locomotive supplier. The company's headquarters, engineering facilities and parts-manufacturing operations are located in LaGrange, Illinois, just west of Chicago. Final assembly is conducted at EMD's state-of-the-art plant at London, Ontario, from which EMD products are exported to customers around the world.
EMD is also a global provider of aftermarket parts and services, as well as diesel power engines for marine propulsion, offshore and land based oil well drilling rigs, and stationary power generation
The Key Job Elements Include:
Required:
·Responsible for effective use of personnel, material and equipment;
·Meets production/rebuild cost schedule and maintain quality requirements;

·Flexibility to work in a 2 or 3 shift operation
Candidate Qualifications Include:
Required:
·Bachelor Degree
·Training acquired in the first one or two years of technical or business school;
·Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures;
·Knowledge of basic math;
·Oral written communication skills;
·Understanding of basic technology of area where assigned;
·Knowledge of scheduling and other management systems;
·Relatively high level of analytical ability where problems are complex;
·Medium level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, motivate employees and elicit work output;
·Knowledge of quality control procedures;
·Skill/experience using MS software
.Six Sigma experience
