Job Description
As Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for execution and adherence to the production plan and ensuring that cases packed meet the requirements. You will also be responsible for driving improvement activities in the packaging unit by ensuring that the packaging process is controlled such that all quality standards are maintained. In the role of Production Supervisor, you will also implement corrective actions to prevent substandard product and reinforce continuous improvement across the site. You will also have budget responsibilities to control fixed costs and variable losses. A key focus for the role will be to motivate and manage operators, including performance appraisals, discipline, administration and training. Additionally, you will report on efficiencies, downtime, and other production related issues.
The Successful Applicant
Ideally, you will be degree qualified in an engineering or related discipline and have experience in a similar role. A background in Food or Beverage manufacturing will be strongly favoured and exposure to modern manufacturing techniques is also highly sought after. You will have a pragmatic approach to problem solving and a keen eye for detail. To be successful in this role, you will also be experienced in people management and have excellent communication and leadership skills.
