Production Supervisor
Maintains a minimum acceptable (90%) efficiency level of production personnel. Schedule first and secondary operation parts. Organizing customer delivery schedules. Oversee warehouse and OSP. Lead the 5 ?S? and Lean manufacturing processes. Responsibilities Ø Maintains 5S and Lean manufacturing processes. Ø Schedules second shift operation parts to ensure on time delivery to our customers. Ø Coordinates with Production Manager for up to date scheduling changes. Ø Coordinates with die repair for appropriate tool maintenance and timely turnaround. Ø Notifies the Production Manager of potential problems, which could affect delivery. Ø Coordinates with Quality Department to assure a quality approval is completed in a timely matter. Ø Coordinates with the Production Manager in keeping raw material and finished goods inventory up to date. Ø Assists in hiring press operators, set-up, secondary operation, and press service (material handler) personnel, packers, general laborers. Ø Reviews production schedule, order entry, die repair, quality control on a daily basis. Ø Schedules equipment and personnel, under his supervision, to ensure delivery schedule is maintained. Ø Trains employees in production methods and procedures and company policies Ø Communicates and directs actions required as a result of a Quality Alert. Ø Assists in writing process sheets in conjunction with the engineering department. Ø Reviews daily job tickets for employees under his supervision. Ø Coordinate the location of raw materials on the warehouse floor. Ø Assures all necessary documentation and required gages are available to press operators at start of production run. Ø Understand and follow company policy procedures. Ø Provide team support and communication to co-workers. Ø Maintains the plant in a clean and organized manner per 5S standards. Ø Responsible for identifying/reporting and correcting any safety and 5S violations throughout the plant. Ø Assist Quality Control Department in all aspects as needed. Ø Assist in overseeing OEE implementation including documentation review for accuracy of data entry. Ø Assist in implementation of Continuous Improvement Programs. Ø Work with Quality and Engineering to implement in-process gaging / fixtures which monitor critical dimensions or features determined to be important to customer fit, form, and function. Ø Communicates with Quality regarding in-process criteria for press operators, packers and catchers. Ø Assess, recommend and implement process improvements to improve Quality, provide cost-savings and reduce waste. Ø Participates in the development of Control Plans, PFMEA?s and develops/modifies and updates Operator Work Instructions as needed. Ø Provides graphs and charts to management as required. Job Knowledge Skills Minimum of 5 years experience. Some computer and strong technical skills. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem solving. Must be analytical and comfortable working with numbers.
