The Production Supervisor position is an essential role at Kaos Softwear. This is a full-time position.

The Production Supervisor's duties include:

• Responsible for production scheduling, staffing, equipment, quality control, production tracking, and the coordination of production activities with those of other departments.
• Draws up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecast or customer orders.
• Sets guidelines and formats for production workers to operate under.
• Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and manpower requirements.
• Alters operation schedules to meet customer demands.
• Supervises production personnel by orienting, and providing training for employees.
• Plans and schedules work-flow for each operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
• Confers with other departmental supervisors to determine the status of various projects and operations.
• Directs and approves designs and modifications in the production operations.
• Plans sequence of fabrication, assembly, and other manufacturing operations for guidance of production workers.
• Prepares and reviews production reports and data.
• Confers and collaborates with other members of management representing the position and concerns of manufacturing and production.
• Responsible for scheduling regular maintenance and repairs for machinery and equipment on the production floor
• Must enforce safety policy, perform and document safety training, and ensure proper and safe work procedures on the floor (should have experience with lockout/tagout and other typical machine/electrical safety procedures)
• Implements measures to motivate employees to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• At least 1 year of experience in injection mold manufacturing
• Average to advanced computer skills and experience
• Knowledge of management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
• Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent problem solving skills
