This salaried supervision position will manage afternoon shift employees in a variety of Aerospace departments at Goodrich. These departments contain plating, high volume production machining, inspection and electro-mechanical assembly. The person will be responsible for employee performance reviews, quality, delivery performance and efficiency. This involves hiring, training, communication, goal setting and reinforcement through recognition and discipline.
This position will be required to develop metrics to track individual and area performance that supports the overall team goals.
Oversees, monitors and coordinates manufacturing team activities, giving importance to individuals members' and overall team achievement in achieving policy deployment objectives. Ensures teams' goals are aligned with and represent the company's objectives. Acts as a liaison between team members and other functional areas. Works proactively in addressing potential issues and applies real-time problem solving skills when working towards resolution. Relies on extensive experience and judgment in planning and accomplishing goals.
Ensures the highest attainment of customer delivery performance. Ensures appropriate levels of WIP are maintained and that finished goods are completed on time.
Requirement: BS degree in operations, or engineering discipline, or business administration or related field required
Minimum Experience: 2 years leadership/supervisory experience in Manufacturing
Experience with Lean Manufacturing and/or Continuous Improvement Activity
Experience with shop floor scheduling, Kanban pull and capacity management preferred.
Strong work ethic and attention to detail required.
NADCAP experience a plus but not required
