Production Supervisor-Welding Job in Bloomington/Peoria, Illinois US

Job Description

· Directs and
coordinates a semi-skilled and/or complex work force in order to meet
production schedules and meet required cost, quality and safety
standards. 

· Maintains and
manages the staffing in the department. 

· Conducts
projects/reports that have a significant influence on the production function
of the organization.

· Responsibilities
will include but are not limited to:

· Supervises and
directs the production of less complex (e.g. basic assembly, welding) of parts,
components, products to meet production schedules and meet or exceed quality
requirements.

· Maintains equipment
and manpower in department to meet work schedule.

· Maintains efficiency
and utilization throughout department via assigning Leads to help direct
manpower where needed to meet required schedules.

· Checks time
standards in conjunction with Manufacturing Engineering to maintain fair and
proper standards throughout department.

· Maintains
departmental adherence to high standards of safety and housekeeping in
compliance with company policies, governmental regulations and existing labor
agreements.

· Maintains positive
employee and management relations within the guidelines of company policy.

· Directs all related
personnel actions (selection, training, performance reviews, discipline, etc.)
for production employees.

· Holds regular safety meetings and requires
that safety devices be used at all times by personnel

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field strongly preferred

Experience in Welding in a manufacturing environment

1+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, or a related Master’s Degree.

Demonstrated ability to use a PC, excellent written and verbal communication skills, good analytical and problem solving skills
