Volt has an opening for an Sr. Production Test Technician.

General Summary Conducts red-line/functional testing of standard and special products to assure conformance with engineering specifications and quality standards. Documents systems/circuitry and equipment failures and enters test results into the production test database. Recommends repairs for faulty components to meet technical requirements for certification. Supports the diagnostic testing for returned instrumentation/equipment and prepares assessment reports with recommended solutions to technical problems. Conducts approved repairs and calibrates customer returns. May act as liaison with customer technical staffs to document equipment failures and malfunctions. Principal Duties and Responsibilities ? Conducts red-line/functional testing of standard and special products to determine causes of any equipment failures and malfunctions using special purpose test equipment, frequency meters, bridges, frequency oscilloscopes, ohmmeters, pressure gauges, manometers, drift gauges, potentiometers, and other testing devices. ? Performs configuration of standard and special products and supports the improvement of production first pass yield. ? Serves as customer service technician and conducts diagnostic tests to determine source of equipment failures and systems/circuitry malfunctions for returned instrumentation/equipment utilizing standard troubleshooting techniques. Performs remedial repairs and calibration of customer returns. Documents all testing, areas of malfunction, and customer repairs. ? May conduct or coordinate environmental testing in conjunction with functional tests. ? May support the fabrication and assembly of prototype, developmental or initial production models of electro-mechanical components and systems.

Requirements:
Job Specifications Associates degree in electronics or its equivalent is required plus five or more year’s experience in the troubleshooting of electro-mechanical components, assemblies and systems. Must have competencies in analog and digital electronics and the ability to write test procedures based on engineering specifications, design schematics and logic diagrams.
