Position Summary
As a Product Marketing Manager supporting Pyxis Technologies, you will have responsibility for developing, recommending, and executing marketing programs for a group of product lines. This includes initiating and managing marketing programs and activities to support strategic objectives and product revenue, market share, and gross profit targets are met. This includes promoting products with clear and concise messaging, product launches, defining pricing strategies, educating and training field sales, attending trade shows, and supporting the sales organization. There are no supervisory responsibilities associated with this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute against marketing plans for assigned products.
- Develop research studies and customer case studies to enhance market awareness and serve as proof points in acquiring new business. Identify customers who are willing to give testimonials and be featured in case studies. Partner with clinical consulting team on the development of research studies.
- Develop product messaging and positioning that will differentiate products in the market and identify how they address customer needs. Create internal and external positioning documents focused on each key customer persona.
- Collaborate with product management team on product forecast and monitor market demand. Develop pricing programs appropriate for the stage of the product lifecycle.
- Initiate, develop and execute marketing communications plan to support assigned products, including supporting assigned product launches and throughout the product lifecycle. Develop communication tools such as collateral, web, advertising, etc. to support assigned products. Partner with account manager(s) on execution of projects requiring design support (collateral, videos, website, etc.)
- Support thought leadership programs. Create and deliver thoughtful information (webinars, blogs, e-books, etc.) to influence customers, buyers, industry specialists, research analysts, key editors in the press and other third parties.
- Enable effective sales communication of the value proposition of the solution and products. Design and deliver training programs to help the sales channel focus on how to sell the solution and products, not how to use products. Develop the sales tools that support the selling process.
- Develop product presentations and demo scripts that can be used by the sales team in a typical sales process.
- Provide on-going support for the sales channel. Deliver product information to qualified buyers in support of existing sales efforts. Look for opportunities to make support more repeatable.
- Provide product and market expertise for events such as customer site visits, conferences, tradeshows, webinars and seminars (including ability to travel to these events.)
- Provide market intelligence to sales, be the expert on your customer; be the expert on your competition and how to exploit their weaknesses
- Partner with Request for Proposal (RFP) team to develop responses that differentiate products in the market and support messaging.
- Measure and tune product marketing programs to ensure alignment with corporate goals.
- Support downstream marketing projects as appropriate to support the dispensing business strategy
- Strong team member able to communicate effectively and work extremely well with complex multidisciplinary teams
- Willing to travel up to 25%
- 5+ years experience in downstream product marketing; medical device industry preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- Prior product launch experience is required
- Prior healthcare IT or medical device sales experience is desirable
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products
- Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in: project management, planning, execution, time-management and follow-through skills

- Travel Percentage: 25%
